23- Maqueta Spha-T walker: con las patas puestas.

¡Funcionó! Las patas están instaladas y aguantan perfectamente el peso del vehículo a pesar de su fragilidad.


It worked! The legs are installed and it hold the weight of the vehicle perfectly in spite of its fragility.

Antes de instalar las patas debía terminar unos pequeños detalles que deje pendientes en el proceso anterior… debía darles más detalle a las patas e incluir un pistón en cada pata. Ese detalle lo construí en base a un clavo y unas pequeñas piezas de hisopos...

Before installing the legs it had to finish small details that let slopes in the previous process… I had to give more detail to the legs and include a piston in each leg. That detail I constructed on the basis of a nail and small pieces of hyssops...

Luego de terminado el detallado final instalé las patas en su lugar definitivo. Estaba preocupado por el peso del Spha-T sobre estas pequeñas patas, pero había olvidado un concepto básico de física y diseño estructural: cada pata es bastante pequeña y efectivamente se doblaría con el peso del vehículo, pero al tener 12 patas este peso se reparte uniformemente entre todas reduciendo el peso aplicado a cada una, finalmente cada pata ya no soporta el 100% del peso sino solo 1/12 del total.

After finished the end detailed I installed the legs in its definitive place. I was worried about the weight of the Spha-T on these small legs, but i had forgotten a basic concept physics and structural design: each leg is quite small and indeed it would bend with the weight of the vehicle, but when it having 12 legs this weight is distributed uniformly betwen all ones reducing the applied weight to each one, finally each leg no longer supports the 100% of weight but only 1/12 of the total.

Coloqué un soporte en la parte baja que tenía la altura a la que debía quedar el vehículo hasta terminar de pegar todas las patas con cola sintética a esas piezas que ya había planeado en el inicio de la construcción hace mucho tiempo …

I placed a support in the low part that had the height to which it had to be the vehicle until finishing sticking all the legs with synthetic glue to those pieces that already had glided in begin of the construction long time ago …

Al día siguiente retire el soporte y mágicamente el spha-T dio sus primeros pasos… al fin el Spha-T se sostiene en sus patas… lo siguiente será iniciar la construcción del cañón principal con lo que por fin entro al final de este proyecto.

On the next day i retires the support and magically spha-T took his first steps… finaly the Spha-T maintains in its legs… the following thing will be to initiate the construction of the main gun and so finally I enter at the end of this project.

En el Perú somos grandes consumidores de comida china, o mejor dicho de “chifa” que es el nombre que se le da aquí a la mixtura resultante de la comida china tradicional traída por la gran inmigración china en combinación con ingredientes peruanos… esto dio como resultado esta excelente comida a la que llamamos “chifa” y que por cierto me encanta.

In Peru we are great consumers of Chinese food, or rather of “chifa” that is the name that occurs here to the resulting mixture of the traditional´s Chinese food brought it by the great Chinese immigration in combination with Peruvian ingredients… this gave as result this excellent food that we called “chifa” and that by the way it enchants to me.

Y pues siendo fan (fronterizo) de Star Wars y amante del chifa nunca imagine que estos 2 gustos aparentemente desconectados podrían unirse de algún modo… y es que cuando vi este anuncio no lo podía creer…. me refiero al lanzamiento por parte de la compañía japonesa Kotobukiya de sus inusuales palitos chinos con forma de sable laser de diferentes personajes de la saga de StarWars.

And then being fan (border) of Star Wars and loving of chifa never it imagines that these 2 apparently disconnected tastes could be united of some way… and is that when I saw east announcement i could not believe it…. I talk about to the launching on the part of the Japanese company Kotobukiya of its unusual chopsticks with form of lightsaber of different characters from the StarWars saga.

Presenta nuevamente un corto hecho en animación ( al igual que el primero publicado en mi blog en Marzo) y que es A L U C I N A N T E con mucha acción y de alta calidad al igual que el anterior…

It again presents a short animation´s film ( like the first one published in my blog in March) and that it is I N C R E D I B L E and with much action and of high quality like the previous one…



El segundo es un avance de la nueva versión del juego The Force Unleashed lanzado por primera vez el año pasado en donde se desarrolló toda una nueva historia que forma parte de la cronología de la saga y está ubicado temporalmente entre el episodio 3 y 4 y trata acerca de la existencia de un aprendiz secreto de Darth Vader llamado Starkiller, también revela pormenores de la razón real del nacimiento de la rebelión, la que vemos luego en la trilogía clásica………. súper interesante e inesperado.

The second one is an advance of the new version of the game The Force Unleashed released for the first time the past year where was developed an all a new history that comprises of the saga´s chronology and is located temporarily between episode 3 and 4 and it´s about the existence of a secret apprentice of Darth Vader called Starkiller, also reveals details of the real reason of the birth of the rebellion, the one that we see in the classic trilogy ……..very interesting and unexpected.

Este juego se lanzó junto a un libro, una versión en comic, y también algunos personajes en juguetes como parte de la colección Hasbro en escala 3 3/4”, este año se lanzara la versión 2 y que será como una especie de secuela…….el video es muy bueno…

This game was launched next to a book, a comic version, and also some characters in toys like part of the Hasbro´s collection in 3 3/4” scale, this year the version 2 would be release and that will be as a kind of sequel ....... the video is very good…

22-Maqueta Spha-T: las patas terminadas…

Legs closed...
Bueno en realidad aun le faltan un par de detalles pero en líneas generales se podría decir que ya termine con esta, tediosa, repetitiva, asfixiante, desesperante, ABURRIDA, metódica, maratónica, cojuda, difícil, repugnante, interesante, angustiante, loca y necesaria parte de la construcción de la maqueta… realmente costó:

So in fact even needs a pair of details but in main lines could be said that i finished with this, tedious, repetitive, suffocating, exasperating, BORING, methodical, marathon, Silly, difficult, repugnant, interesting, distressing, crazy and necessary part of the scale model´s construction… really cost:

En las fotos pueden ver un ensanche en las patas que fue un poco complicado de reproducir… a punta de trupán y masilla. En las siguientes imágenes verán una pieza adicional que servirá de nexo entre las patas y el cuerpo principal…
In the photos you can see an extension in the legs that was a little complicated to reproduce… with trupán and putty. In the following pictures you will see an additional piece that it will serve as nexus between the legs and the main body…

En las siguientes imágenes verán las articulaciones unidas a las patas para completar la forma general…

Corté estas piezas adicionales para unirlas a las patas, es un detalle no muy perceptible pero muy importante.
I´ve cuts these additional pieces to unite them to the legs, is a detail not very perceivable but very important.

Y finalmente las patas listas (bueno, casi) para unirlas al cuerpo central…. Muero por ver todo el vehículo con las patas, además no sé si las patas aguantaran el peso… realmente me intriga y me atemoriza el resultado, solo imagínense llegar hasta aquí en la construcción y que las patas se doblen por el peso … ¿funcionaran?, si no entonces todo este trabajo de meses habrá sido en vano y tendré que iniciar la construcción de otra cosa… j aja aj ajja ja espero que no, pero eso será el tema del siguiente post.

And finally the legs ready (so, almost) to unite them to the main body…. I die to see all the vehicle with the legs, in addition I do not know if the legs really held the weight of it… the result intrigues me, and it frightens the result to me, you only imagine to arrive up to here in the construction and that the legs bend by the weight… does they worked? , if then all this work of months will have been in vain and I will have to initiate the construction of another thing… j aha aj ajja ja I hope that not, but that will be the subject of following post.

Hoy les mostraré una fotocomposición que hice en el año 2006 y que no quería dejar que se pierda en los confines de mi disco duro… se trata de una composición en donde se muestra el mercenario IG-88 escoltado por probe droids imperiales en busca del Millenium Falcon…

Today I will show you a photocomposition that I´ve made in 2006´s year and which i did not want to leave is lost in the borders of my hard disk… is a composition where is to the mercenary IG-88 escorted by imperial probe droids in search of the Millenium Falcon…

Al igual que hice en una anterior composición en donde mostraba a IG-88 con BOBAFETT, otra vez use a IG como protagonista de la escena… simplemente me encante el personaje.

 As I did in a previous composition where i showed IG-88 with  BOBAFETT, I use to IG again as protagonist of the scene… simply enchants the character to me.

Hasbro vs. Kenner

Si eres coleccionista de las figuras de acción de Star wars probablemente este post no sea un gran descubrimiento (espero que sea al menos entretenido), pero para los que no están familiarizados con este asunto de las colecciones de muñecos de Star Wars y tienen tal vez un viejo recuerdo de los juguetes creo que este post podría ser interesante, y tal vez hasta instructivo. Muchas veces escuche comentarios del tipo “los muñecos antiguos eran los mejores, los de ahora son feos”…o “los de ahora están bien pero los antiguos son los originales”… y cosas por el estilo.


If you are collector of Star Wars´s action figures probably this post is not a great discovery (I hope that at least it is entertained), but for which they are not familiarized with this subject of the action figures´s collections of Star Wars and have perhaps an old remind of the toys I think that this post could be interesting, and perhaps until instructive. Often i listens to commentaries like “the old action figures were the best ones, the new toys are ugly”… or “the new toys are well but the old ones are the original”… and that kind of stuff.

En los foros de la página http://www.jedidefender.com/yabbse/index.php?board=76.0 surgió un interesante post en donde hacían una comparación entre algunos de los muñecos de los personajes de Star Wars en su versión Kenner o Vintage frente a su nueva versión Hasbro que es la que tenemos actualmente y de la cual soy coleccionista, en las fotos podrán ver ambas figuras y de esa forma ver las diferencias en escultura, pintura y accesorios… veamos como cambiaron las figuras de Star Wars en sus más de 30 años de existencia…

Particularmente pienso que es imposible negar que los muñecos de la actual colección Hasbro son muy superiores en términos de escultura, color, accesorios y fidelidad de detalles a los de Kenner, pero también debo reconocer que los juguetes antiguos tienen un valor sentimental para mí y para todos los que alguna vez jugaron con ellos, verlos nuevamente con todas sus fallas me conecta con la niñez y creo que ese es un valor que pocos juguetes logran tener.

Me encanta la colección actual pero también adoro los muñecos Vintage por lo que significan más que por el objeto.

Particularly I think that is impossible to deny that the present collection of Hasbro´s action figures are very superiors in terms of sculpture, color, accessories and fidelity of details to the Kenner´s one, but also I must recognize that the old toys have a sentimental value for me and for whom sometimes they played with them, to see them with all faults connects to me again with the childhood and I think that is a value that few toys manage to have.


The present collection enchants to me but I also adore the Vintage toys reason why they mean more than by the object.
